On a roadtrip trough UK with my campervan, the day came to an end and I was approaching my place for the night in the rolling hills of Wales. I was not expecting to do any photography on this evening, as the sun had already set.

But as so often, when I least expect it, the most gorgeous opportunities arise. I noticed that little tree in the distance, already when turning into the parking lot. Blue hour had already started, so immediately after having parked, I grapped my gear and walked and partially even run as fast as I could, with my heavy backpack and tripod, towards this tree, hoping to capture this peaceful pastoral scene before the light was gone completely. It was farther than it originally looked.

After I got closer, I noticed a few sheeps grasing close the tree. One was directly under the tree. There was just this tree in the field and nothing more, so it looked like a potential minimalism image, a genre, that I recently discovered for my own work. I love the wastness of a lot of negativ space, space, in which not a lot is going on. The beautiful mountains or hills made for a nice soft back ground for this tree. Important was to have the place in the middle of this mountain on the right and giving the tree enough breahting space to the top. When I finally arrived to the right spot, I set up the tripod. Luckily the sheep under the tree was looking directly in my direction. Probably thinking, what for heavens sake, is this two legged furless creature doing there? This image is one of my favourite of this roadtrip.
