Ever since I captured the image named Waldgeist, which is German and means Spirit of the forest, I felt, that there must be companion for this fellow. It took me a few months, until I finally came across this scene. Where this little filigrane snow covered tree, in midst the tall trees, caught my intention.
With the snow on its thin branches it shone so bright, in the already bright snowy woodland. When composing the image, I made sure it will be more or less in the same proportions, like the Waldgeist image, because I knew, this is going to be Waldgeists female counterpart. Waldfee, which is German and means Fairy of the forest, seemed to be the perfect name. I think, Waldgeist and Waldfee is a lovely couple.
